It is with great pleasure that we proudly announce the beginning of a new era for competitive pinball. The International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) is back and with a mandate different than before: to increase the awareness and visibility of pinball and ensure that the best players in the world get the recognition they deserve.

To that end, the all new IFPA is reaching out to players and event organizers across the globe. Currently we have begun compiling the official World Pinball Player Rankings. Our goal is simple. We are going to bridge the distance between cities, states, countries and continents to unify all players and encourage all to travel, no matter how near or far, to participate in each and every sanctioned IFPA tournament.

As the ultimate reward and acclaim, the IFPA will be staging, annually, a Tournament of Champions competition based on WPPR point standings, to crown the best World's Pinball Champion of the Year.

It is the hope of the IFPA to build up more tournaments in countries like Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom, so that the great players from these different countries can be recognized on a global scale.
